Palliative care

This module is about current thinking on palliative care. It will look at what palliative care is, local networks and treatment pathways and the ways in which pharmacy can help patients receiving palliative care.

Learning objectives:

• Explain what palliative care and end of life care are
• Understand the importance of local networks and treatment pathways for patients receiving palliative care and their carers
• Identify ways you can help to support these patients and carers.
